Ms. Gates is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Finance, Banking, and Insurance at Appalachian State University. She teaches an undergraduate course in business law for ASU.
In addition to teaching at ASU, Ms. Gates manages and operates her private law practice and is active in her family's property management and rental business.
Ms. Gates lives in Blowing Rock with her husband and son.
