Sabina Pandey, Ph.D., CFP®
Dr. Sabina Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance, Banking & Insurance at Appalachian State University. She teaches Introduction to Finance (FIN 3680), Principles of Risk Management and Insurance (FIN 3100), and Personal Finance (FIN 2860), helping students develop a strong foundation in financial decision-making, risk management, and personal financial planning.
Dr. Pandey earned her Ph.D. from Texas Tech University, an M.S. in Finance from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Nepal. Her research focuses on household finance, financial behavior, financial planning, insurance, and consumer financial well-being. Her scholarship examines topics including financial literacy, debt management, retirement planning, investor behavior, financial self-efficacy, insurance regulation, and the influence of technology and social media on financial decision-making.
