Military Student Spotlight: Valerie Mason
We are proud to highlight Valerie Mason, a double major in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance, who was recently featured by Appalachian State University’s Student Veteran Resource Center. As a member of the Army National Guard, Valerie brings a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and commitment to her academic journey. Her ability to balance military responsibilities with two rigorous majors speaks to her work ethic and determination.
Valerie’s story is a powerful example of how service in the military can complement and strengthen academic and professional development. Her dedication to growth, service, and leadership reflects the values we strive to cultivate within the Finance, Banking & Insurance Department.
